Delete your BurnProof Storage account
Last updated: October 8, 2026
How to delete your account
You can do this yourself in the BurnProof Storage web app or in the Windows, macOS, Linux, Android or iOS app:
- Sign in to your account.
- Open Settings.
- Choose Delete Account (in the Danger Zone section).
- Read what will be deleted and confirm by typing your email address.
Can't sign in? Email [email protected] from the address on your account and ask us to delete it. We may ask you to verify that the account is yours.
What is deleted
- Your subscription is canceled immediately.
- Every file is removed from your account right away, along with its folders, previews and thumbnails.
- Your login is deleted, so you can no longer sign in. This cannot be undone.
- Any Google Drive or Photos connection you set up is removed.
What is kept, and for how long
- Stored file data, up to 180 days: our storage provider (Amazon S3 Glacier Deep Archive) charges for a minimum of 180 days. Files that have not yet reached that period are gone from your account immediately but are physically removed when it ends.
- Billing and tax records: invoices and payment records kept by us and by Stripe, for as long as the law requires.
- Basic account record and security logs: a minimal record is kept so the scheduled deletion above can finish and to prevent fraud or abuse.
Want to delete some data but keep your account?
You can delete individual files and folders in the app at any time. Previews can be turned off in Settings. For other requests about your data, email [email protected].
